Even though it&#039;s still cold for me, it&#039;s definitely not winter. The day light saving time started last Sunday. Temperature went up to plus five degrees today, sun was shining and it was still pretty blight outside when I left the office. The dark and cold winter made me feel quite lazy. It was dark when went to work and it was dark again when I came home even though it was 8 in the morning and it was 4 in the evening. Even after having coffee with a friend and it was still 6 in the evening when we headed to home, I felt it&#039;s very late and I had to hurry to go home to sleep. Then I looked at my mobile to check the time and found out it wasn&#039;t that late. If I had been in Tokyo, it would have been quite early evening \ud83d\ude09 It was quite confusing. But when I realized the day started getting longer, I started feeling more active. It, however, is also confusing now. I don&#039;t feel it&#039;s evening when I&#039;m out in the evening now : ) I remember I felt so strange last summer, my first summer as a resident in Finland.<\/p>\n<p>During the dark and cold winter, I went to Lapland first time. I crossed the arctic circle first time. My<a href=\"http:\/\/smileyumi.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00d8341d9b6253ef01156fa7624a970b-pi\" style=\"float: right\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_1964\" class=\"at-xid-6a00d8341d9b6253ef01156fa7624a970b \" src=\"http:\/\/smileyumi.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00d8341d9b6253ef01156fa7624a970b-200wi\" style=\"margin: 0px 0px 5px 5px;width: 200px\" \/><\/a> mum came to Finland first time. And she went to Lapland and crossed the arctic circle first time : ) It was exciting. Actually, my mum came with her three friends from the junior high. They were all excited about being in Finland! We wanted to see the northern light and waited for it for long time in the extremely cold weather, -27 degrees. But we couldn&#039;t see it&#8230; Still, it was fun to visit Rovaniemi where Santa Clause lives. We were blessed with fine weather. It was cold indeed but we enjoyed the blue sky, beautiful sunshine and white snow. You can cross the arctic circle in the museum.<\/p>\n<p>Santa Clause Village: The place you can see Santa Clause if you pay \ud83d\ude09 You can also order the letter from Santa Clause. In the village you can cross the arctic circle.(http:\/\/www.santaclausvillage.info\/)<\/p>\n<p>Ounasvaara: A small ski resort, mainly for cross country skiing but there is also a hill for down hill. The nature was lovely there.
