It was quite a short trip of one night &amp; two days but it is only one-hour flight from Helsinki. I didn&#039;t plan to see a lot of sights during such a short trip but wanted to visit Trakai castle located on an island in the Lake Galv\u0117<span style=\"color: #111111\">. I saw several pictures of Trakai castle and they looked so beautiful. It is located only 28km away from Vilnius and can be easily reached by bus or train. But I decided to join a tour which is much easier than taking public transport and walk to the castle. I am glad that I took a tour as I could hear a lot about <a class=\"zem_slink\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=54.6833333333,25.3166666667&amp;spn=10.0,10.0&amp;q=54.6833333333,25.3166666667 (Lithuania)&amp;t=h\" rel=\"geolocation noopener\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Lithuania\">Lithuania<\/a>&#039;s history, economy, food, Trakai and the castle. And there were a lot of tourist as I expected.&#160;<\/p>\n<p>\u3055\u3066\u3001\u304a\u57ce\u306f\u3069\u3046\u3060\u3063\u305f\u304b\u3068\u3044\u3046\u3068\u3001\u601d\u3063\u305f\u3088\u308a\u3082\u5c0f\u3055\u304f\u3066\u30fb\u30fb\u30fb\u3067\u3082\u305d\u308c\u305e\u308c\u306e\u90e8\u5c4b\u3067\u805e\u3044\u305f\u8aac\u660e\u3068\u5c55\u793a\u7269\u306f\u3068\u3066\u3082\u304a\u3082\u3057\u308d\u304b\u3063\u305f\u3002\u305d\u306e\u80cc\u666f\u3092\u805e\u304f\u3068\u540c\u3058\u3082\u306e\u3092\u307f\u3066\u3082\u304a\u3082\u3057\u308d\u3055\u304c\u5168\u7136\u9055\u3046\u306e\u3060\u3002\u305d\u3057\u3066\u3082\u3061\u308d\u3093\u89b3\u5149\u5ba2\u304c\u3044\u3063\u3071\u3044\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\n<a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"http:\/\/smileyumi.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00d8341d9b6253ef0177445dd38a970d-pi\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"2012-08-26 14.46.05\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a00d8341d9b6253ef0177445dd38a970d\" src=\"http:\/\/smileyumi.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00d8341d9b6253ef0177445dd38a970d-500wi\" title=\"2012-08-26 14.46.05\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the way to the castle, the tour guide told us about what we MUST eat when we visit Trakai. It was a pasty called &quot;kibinai&quot;. It is almost like cornish pasty but not quite \ud83d\ude09 There were different kind of fillings available but when I asked the waitress, she told me the one with mutton filling was the original. So, I ate the original kibinai. And I also had the &quot;pink soup&quot; which I had read about so many times in the blogs written by Japanese people who visited Lithuania. Of course, &quot;pink soup&quot; is not the name of the soup but only my way of calling the soup \ud83d\ude09 It is cold beetroot soup. And it was cold! I liked both kibinai and the soup a lot. And it was perfect to eat kibinai which was still hot from the kitchen and cold soup. I had no idea about it but lucky me!
