I got up at 4:00am, took the first train from my station to Shibuya, etc… and arrived at Helsinki yesterday. <\/p>\n

I went to the Diner’s club airport lounge at Haneda airport first time. I usually don’t have time to go there but this time, I had 15 minutes to spend there. It was quite nice. They had massage chairs for free though I didn’t have time to use it. I had three hours at Kansai International Airport for transit. But I didn’t feel it was long. I had to check in again there and quite many people were queuing to check in. The queue to Finnair counter was shorter than other airlines but it still took some time for me to get there. It’s a summer holiday season in Japan and for some reason Europe seems to be a popular destination this summer. Anyway, the flight was quite comfortable for the luck I got at seat allocation.  <\/p>\n

At Helsinki airport, I saw the longest queue I’ve ever seen at the immigration. (of course, compared with JFK, LHR, LAX , it was nothing though!) I’m sure Helsinki attracts more tourist than before. No wonder it’s such a lovely country and for us, Japanese, it’s the closest European destination.<\/p>\n

I already met some friends here. It’s always fun to see them. In the evening, I had a chance to pick and eat sweet raspberries and other berries : ) They were much sweeter and more tasty than the ones we can get in Tokyo. Of course, we rarely have a chance to pick them up! <\/p>\n

It’s nice to be a cooler place. It was already 30 degrees C at 7:30 am in Osaka when I got to the airport though Tokyo was cooler and rainy when I left home. I’m happy to spend two weeks here.<\/p>\n
